Astigmatic lens expansion
■ The Proclear Toric XR, from CooperVision, has expanded to low cylinders (-0.75D to -2.25D) in high plus and high minus spheres. This means that the total sphere power range for this lens is +10.00D to -10.00D. The omafilcon A daily wear monthly replacement lens is made of the company's PC technology, which maintains the lens moistness and comfort throughout the day, CooperVision says. Other features: a 8.4mm and 8.8mm base curve, a 14.4mm diameter and cylinder powers of -0.75D to -5.75D in 0.50D steps and around-the-clock axis. The lens is available in six-pack blisters.
