OCT-fundus camera combo

■ The iFusion system, from Optovue Inc., combines the iVue SD-OCT and the iCam non-mydriatic fundus camera in one platform. Used for scanning and reports assessment for retina, retina nerve fiber and cornea, the iVue is a compact version of the company’s RTVue OCT with the same scanning speed and resolution, the company says. The iCam is a portable, non-mydriatic, 45-degree color fundus camera. The company received FDA 510(k) clearance for iFusion and has begun filling customer orders worldwide.

Patient communication

■ Demandforce, from Demandforce Inc., introduced updated features for its e-mail communication, text messaging and online service. Intuit Local assists in networking with consumers by expanding your practice’s online presence, the company says. Another feature automatically schedules campaigns to occur at the frequency of your choice. Also, Demandforce functions with Google Now to automatically remind patients of appointments, and its syndication now includes Bing, an Internet search engine.

Magnifier stand

■ The Rolling Stand, from Eschenbach, works with a select number of the company’s lamp magnifiers. Utilized with the company’s 2772, 2772-204 and 2777 Lamp Magnifiers that could previously be used on a desk with a base or attached to a desk with a clamp, the stand assists movement to various locations in the office. With a 26” diameter base and five castor wheels, the Rolling Stand weighs seven pounds can be assembled in-office.

Eyelash gel

■ Lash Advance, from MediNiche, Inc., is a non-prescription gel intended to improve the health of lashes and brows. The gel is formulated with natural ingredients and does not contain drugs, parabens, petroleum products, propylene glycol, fragrances or colorants. Users should apply Lash Advance at least once daily at the base of eyelashes and expect results within two weeks of regular daily use, the company says.

• The non-contact ultra-widefield angiography module has begun delivery for Heidelberg Engineering’s Spectralis, which combines confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy with Spectral Domain OCT. Distribution is expected to increase through the year, the company says.

• SynergEyes, Inc., expanded the Duette HD contact lenses’ available parameters to include a flatter base curve and higher plus powers. The parameters include an 8.3mm base curve and plus powers up to +10.00D. SynergEyes’ Duette family also includes the Duette Multifocal.
