This software saves your time and breath by teaching patients, and more.
By Gregg Ossip, O.D.
We've all spent what seems like hours explaining the same topics to patients 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, year after year because we know that patient education is an important part of patient care. We want to inform patients about their options and educate them about the importance of annual eye exams as well as the details of their conditions. Patients are more likely to adhere to therapy when they understand the need for it.
Unfortunately, we don't always have the time to devote to this important part of eye care. Our staff also might not have the time or the training to answer all of our patients' questions. Well now we can stop fretting, because eyeMaginationS, Inc. offers an incredible tool to help make our jobs easier.
animations help educate patients about their eyes.
The new technology
EyeMaginationS is ophthalmic educational 3-D animation software that reinforces regular eye exams. Its voice, music and moving animations educate patients and staff about the anatomy of the eye, clinical procedures and ocular pathologies. Because our brains work in a multi-media way, this software is excellent for helping patients understand the status of their eye health. But this software also boasts many great features.
eyeMaginationS in action
You can have eyeMaginationS installed easily on the computers in your examination room, reception room or at your dispensing tables. Without special training, your staff will not only learn how to use the program, but they'll also become well-versed in some great eye topics.
EyeMaginationS has all the current topics important to you and the hot topics that every patient wants to know about. EyeMaginationS offers 3-D multimedia animations in these categories:
- anatomy of the eye
- refractive errors
- ocular pathologies
- clinical procedures
Another great feature of this software is the Snapshot Draw program that allows you to draw on animations for more complete educational sessions.
EyeMaginationS also offers a library of licensable still images and animations for use on your Web site or within PowerPoint presentations. Or, select animations to play as screen savers for patients waiting for you in the exam room or loop a playlist together for patients in the reception area.
|What You Need to
