Art Epstein, OD, FAAO

Art Epstein, OD, FAAO co-founded Phoenix Eye Care, PLLC and heads the practice's Dry Eye – Ocular Surface Disease Center – The Dry Eye Center of Arizona and serves as its Director of Clinical Research. Active in the profession, Dr. Epstein is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a Distinguished Practitioner of the National Academies of Practice. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry, a member of the American and Arizona Optometric Associations and Past-Chair of the AOA Contact Lens & Cornea Section.

Paul Karpecki, OD, FAAO

Paul Karpecki, OD, FAAO is Director of Cornea Services at Kentucky Eye Institute (in Lexington, KY), Gaddie Eye Centers (in Louisville, KY) and is now part of Retina Associates of Kentucky (in Lexington, KY) after completing a 1-year preceptorship in 2017. He is also Associate Professor at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Optometry. Dr. Karpecki has moderated or chaired the Congressional Hearing on the Impact of Dry Eye Disease (July 2017), Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) Symposium (September 2016), the Dry Eye Summit (December 2014). He also served on the International Task Force on Dry eye, the TFOS DEWS II Diagnostic Methodology sub-committee and is a TFOS Global Ambassador.
