Submission Guidelines
We welcome you to share your insights!
Optometric Management welcomes submissions that share best-practices for patient care and/or business management with our audience, the majority of which are U.S.-based optometrists. Please email manuscripts to: Jim Thomas, editorial director, at james.thomas@BroadcastMed.com.
We recommend that prior to submitting any articles, you provide a 2-3 sentence synopsis that includes the article's value proposition for the reader. Please email the summary to Jim Thomas at james.thomas@BroadcastMed.com.
All artwork submitted for publication, including images, figures, etc., must be either free from copyright or, if previously published, accompanied by the proper permissions or contact information to obtain those permissions. All photographs, illustrations, and other images must meet the following criteria to be printed in Optometric Management: 266 dpi @ 8" x 11".
Please include references cited as per the AMA Manual of Style.
Conflict-of-interest statement
With each submission, Optometric Management requires that authors list financial relationships (including but not limited to employment, contract work, stock ownership, honoraria, paid testimony) or other conflicts of interest that would jeopardize the credibility of works published in Optometric Management.
Statement of informed consent
Optometric Management does not publish identifying information, including patient names, initials, or hospital numbers, unless the information is essential for scientific purposes and the patient (or parent or guardian) gives written informed consent for publication.
Article review
Submitted articles will be reviewed by the Optometric Management editorial team. Optometric Management reserves the right to edit or reject any submissions. Prior to publishing, Optometric Management will provide the author(s) with an edited copy of the article for review.
Please direct any questions about article submissions to Jim Thomas at james.thomas@BroadcastMed.com.
