MADE IN THEIR SHADES
When Alan Ayers, a graphic designer, learned the front desk of his wife Ashley’s practice would need a safety partition before reopening in June, he created giant spectacles to do the job.
“The front desk has two receptionists, so they each get their own face shield, Mr. Ayers explains of Island Optometry Clinic, in Anacortes, Wash. “Another reason to make the spectacles is that they’re a fun talking piece for patients, who are now faced with all these new COVID-19 protective measures that can cause stress.”
Dr. Ayers adds that the spectacles are also a great marketing piece for the practice.
