With several practices resuming operations in one form or another, after receiving state clearances regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, The Vision Council has provided an outline for cleaning frames, with the disclaimer that individuals contact their frame sales reps to clarify best practices before following. The outline:

1. Use antibacterial wipes; soap and warm water or a mild mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water.
2. Wash hands thoroughly per CDC guidelines, scrubbing for 20 seconds; apply latex or vinyl gloves.
3. Clean every part of the frame using the preferred sanitization method; do not touch your face during the process.
4. Dispose of gloves and cleaning materials (if applicable).
5. Wash hands thoroughly per CDC guidelines, scrubbing for 20 seconds.

Regarding handling deliveries, The Vision Council says:

1. Accept deliveries without in-person contact whenever possible.
2. After receiving the delivery, wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds (if soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol).
3. After collecting mail from a post office or home mailbox, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. OM
