Hi, I'm Dr. Cory Lappin coming to you live from the Academy of Optometry Meeting in Anaheim, California. This week has been a really fun but busy week for me. It started out when I gave a symposium presentation for Alcon, talking about one of the new dry eye medications, Tryptyr, which is our first topical neuromodulatory eye drop. It was a really cool session.
I stayed with the dry eye theme for a dry eye procedures workshop, which was really interactive. We had a great number of doctors getting hands-on experience with treatments. And then later today, I’m going to keep rolling with a poster presentation with Rinsada, which is an ocular surface lavage. We actually have some new data specifically for allergic conjunctivitis. And then I’m going to finish strong with a presentation with the anterior segment and cornea section on DEWS III. It's going to be a great panel discussion. So just a really great week here.
My big takeaway is the innovation we're seeing in that dry eye and ocular surface disease space. It's an area I'm really passionate about. So from new medications we have, to the hands-on learning with these new devices, and then really just looking at the big report that we all go off of with DEWS III, it's just been a jam-packed week.
If you are here and got to experience it or you’re just hearing about everything coming out of this meeting, I really recommend checking it out if you’re interested in these topics because we have some really great stuff.
