Ametek Reichert has announced that its SightChek Digital Phoroptor is now fully integrated with the DigitalOptometrics teleoptometry platform, which enables eyecare professionals to conduct remote refractions using SightChek within the DigitalOptometrics ecosystem with confidence, accuracy, and consistency, the company said in a press release. According to the announcement, the development is intended to enhance access to eye exams and improve workflow efficiency in teleoptometry settings.

Kimberly Hughes, senior product manager at Reichert, stated that the integration builds on the company’s existing connectivity with the Phoroptor VRx Digital Refraction System and broadens its portfolio of digital refraction solutions.

Reichert’s history in refraction technology dates back more than a century and includes the introduction of the original Phoroptor Refracting Instrument in 1922.OM
