VSP Vision has released its 2025 Impact Report, outlining the company’s progress on corporate social responsibility initiatives focused on health equity, sustainability, and inclusion. According to the report, the company and its charitable program, VSP Eyes of Hope, have helped provide no-cost eye care and eyewear to more than 4.5 million people since the program’s inception. In 2025, the company reported investing nearly $7.3 million in direct and in-kind funding aimed at expanding access to vision care and supporting communities.
The report highlights several initiatives tied to access to care. In 2025, VSP Eyes of Hope launched a new mobile clinic, hosted 83 mobile clinic events, and provided free vision care services to approximately 157,700 individuals. The company also donated 144,600 pairs of eyewear during the year.
VSP Vision additionally reported disaster relief efforts following the Eaton and Palisades fires in Los Angeles County. The company said it reinstated benefits for affected members, deployed mobile clinics, donated eye exam equipment and eyewear, and provided financial support to help doctors rebuild practices and assist broader recovery efforts, totaling $114,200 in investments.
In support of optometry education and professional development, the company said it invested $350,000 in scholarships and grants and recognized the inaugural graduating class of its Future Leaders Academy, a program designed to provide leadership, communication, and business training for early-career optometrists.
The report also details sustainability-related efforts. VSP Vision said 58% of its frames now contain sustainable, recycled, or bio-based materials, representing a 5% increase year over year. The company also introduced what it described as its first fully sustainable eyewear collection in partnership with Canada Goose. In addition, VSP Vision completed its first company-wide greenhouse gas emissions inventory to establish a baseline for future climate tracking and reduction goals.
On inclusion initiatives, the company reported a 5% year-over-year increase in membership across its business resource groups, along with 72 inclusion-focused sessions and more than 1,000 volunteer hours through outreach programs. VSP Vision also noted several workplace recognitions, including Training Magazine’s APEX Award, Great Place to Work Certification, and inclusion on Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Health Care list.
According to the report, employees logged approximately 15,900 volunteer hours and raised more than $403,000 to support 1,138 nonprofit organizations through the company’s employee giving and volunteer platform.
