UnitedHealthcare Vision has announced that Adam Wojcik has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Lori Archer, who is retiring after 29 years of leadership within the company.
According to a press release, Wojcik has held multiple leadership positions across the company and is a member of the senior leadership team of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits, which provides dental, vision, and financial protection plans to more than 53 million Americans. In this role, he oversaw product innovation, digital experience development, and the integration of medical, dental, vision, and supplemental health benefits. His previous experience also includes serving as general manager of UnitedHealthcare Dental and UnitedHealthcare Hearing.
As CEO, Wojcik will guide UnitedHealthcare Vision’s ongoing efforts to make eye care more affordable and accessible for its 25 million members. His priorities include:
-
Innovating product offerings to meet the needs of an evolving vision market;
-
Strengthening relationships with network and supply chain partners to deliver greater value to members; and
-
Enhancing performance and operating efficiency to ensure high-quality service.
Archer, who has transitioned into a part-time advisory role to support Wojcik during the transition, is recognized for nearly 3 decades of leadership that strengthened UnitedHealthcare Vision’s presence in the optical industry. Her career has been marked by strategic growth, brand visibility, and industry advocacy. She plans to remain active in vision care by advising mission-driven organizations, mentoring emerging leaders, supporting innovations that expand access and affordability, and advocating for women in optical leadership.
