Eyefinity, a VSP Vision company, has expanded its Eyefinity Encompass platform with 3 add-on solutions that are designed to reduce administrative workload and give providers more time with patients. According to a press release, the new tools—EncompassPay, EncompassMessage, and EncompassScribe—integrate directly with the practice management system to simplify payments, improve communication, and automate clinical documentation, respectively.

EncompassPay enables practices to accept payments and issue refunds within the Encompass system. Transactions automatically record in a patient ledger, which eliminates double data entry and reduces reconciliation errors, according to a press release. EncompassPay also offers a user-friendly dashboard and customizable reports; a transparent, fixed-rate fee structure; and flexible patient-checkout options, including tap-to-pay and digital wallets.
EncompassMessage provides 2-way secure text, voice, and email messaging that syncs with the practice’s calendar. Features include integrated appointment reminders, customizable templates, and tools to reduce no-shows and streamline communication across channels.
Launching in the coming months, EncompassScribe leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transcribe conversations into notes directly within Encompass. It is trained in optometric terminology and workflows and allows physicians to review and confirm AI-generated notes before finalization.
