Virtual Vision Health and VirtuaLens have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to virtual reality (VR) diagnostic and patient education tools in eye care. According to a press release, the collaboration combines Virtual Vision Health’s established VR screening technology with VirtuaLens’ immersive intraocular lens (IOL) simulator for cataract patients.

Virtual Vision Health’s Virtual Eye platform offers VR-based diagnostic testing that includes visual fields, progression analysis, color sensitivity, and visual acuity.
VirtuaLens’ IOL Simulator provides cataract and refractive surgery patients with an immersive “try-on” experience. This tool supports informed decision-making and enhanced communication among clinicians and patients by allowing patients to see and compare different IOL options before surgery.
Under the partnership agreement, Virtual Vision Health will lead commercialization and distribution of the VirtuaLens IOL Simulator in the United States and Brazil, where it is currently available. VirtuaLens will continue to oversee product development, sales, and customer support, and will manage international distribution outside these markets, according to the press release. Expansion into additional European, Middle Eastern, and African markets is planned, with registration and availability to follow in the coming months.OM
